Cognitive Radio Experimentation World

July 2012

Dear subscriber,

In this brief edition of the CREW newsletter, the first details on the second CREW open call are released. More information will be made available during the information session this week at the Future Network & MobileSummit in Berlin.

Future Network & MobileSummit

The CREW project organizes two open calls for experimenters in order to attract more users to the CREW platform and in order to generate valuable feedback that is used to further optimize the CREW platform. After a first successful open call last year, we are happy to announce our second open call for experimenters. With around 440 kEUR of European Commission funding available, the budget of the second open call is slightly higher than last year. Prospective experimenters are invited to submit proposals with a funded budget of up to 120kEUR before the deadline of 3 October, 2012. For more details, please consult the open call page.

This Wednesday at the Future Network & MobileSummit in Berlin, Germany, more details on the second CREW open call will be shared during the presentation "How to access and use the CREW open federated test platform for wireless experimentation of advanced cognitive radio / cognitive networking solutions?", part of workshop 2b on cognitive radio and cognitive radio networks. After the session, the presentations and other additional information will be made available via the open call section on our website. While in Berlin, keep an eye open for the other CREW talk "Shape-Shifting Wireless Networks: The Role of TV Spectrum in Future Network Architectures" during the same workshop, and meet us at our CREW booth at the exhibition.

Best regards,
The CREW project
