Abstract of presentation "General overview of the CREW project" during the workshop on TV White Spaces (Mon. 18 Feb. 2013) by Ingrid Moerman (iMinds)

In this presentation a general overview of the CREW project will be given. The main target of FP7-CREW is to establish an open federated test platform, which facilitates experimentally-driven research on advanced spectrum sensing, cognitive radio and cognitive networking strategies in view of horizontal and vertical spectrum sharing in licensed and unlicensed bands. The following topics will be addressed: (1)  problems CREW can solve; (2) overview of the wireless facilities and advanced cognitive components of the CREW federation; (3) main federation functionalities; (4) some examples explaining the benefits of CREW.
